Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva visited the Embrapa office in Accra on Saturday March 16. Lula came to see first hand the work being done by the Office on joint agricultural research projects by African researchers, the Brazilian research company and Brazilian universities.

Currently the Office is coordinating 21 projects in African countries, but this is only the start of the potential for cooperation between Brazil and African countries in agriculture.
