Former President meets with Wole Soyinka, the only black African to win the Nobel Prize for Literature

On Monday afternoon, March 18, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with Nigerian author and playwright Wole Soyinka, the only black African to win the Nobel Prize for Literature (1986).  The meeting lasted for about 50 minutes.  Lula will end his four-country visit to Africa tomorrow (Tuesday March 19).  The former president visited Equatorial Guinea, Ghana and Benin prior to his arrival in Nigeria.
